What is breast implants and their species
Breast implants - a medical product that implanting in the breast tissue to change its shape. Capsule (silicone elastomer) may be smooth or rough (textured) surface, inside it is a silicone gel (viscous, transparent substance) or hydrogel filler. Today silicone implants are used everywhere and do not cause any complications, even if violated the integrity of capsules (silicone gel does not derive entirely and distributed around the capsule without causing adverse effects on breast tissue).
Modern silicone implants are in a gel composed of the last generation, which, while maintaining the softness, has acquired a new property - it has ceased to flow. The gel has a "memory effect": the manufacture of it "remembers" the shape, give it a shell, and returns to it at all strains, including the rupture of the capsule. Such an implant can crumple in your hands, squeeze, stretch. Elastic solid shell breast implants consist of several layers of silicone elastomer and has a barrier layer that prevents penetration of the silicone components with low molecular weight in human tissue.
Implants can be combined (double lumen implants): one piece was originally filled with silicone gel, and the second is filled with saline during plastic surgery.
A woman's body can behave quite unpredictably, especially the process of formation of connective tissue, which is always formed around a foreign body, including around the implant. Sometimes the connective tissue capsule surrounding the implant may be too thick and rough. In this case, the implant may be deformed (capsular contracture), and the breast becomes hard to the touch. This complication is very rare when using implants with a rough (textured) capsule. This capsule has on its surface grooves, which penetrate the connective tissue fibers, reducing the thickness of the scar.
