Thickening, Growth Enhancing Formulas for Maximum Lashes

Batting your eyelashes can become a lot more alluring when you actually have the long, thick, dark and full lashes that you see on lots of models and other pretty women who seem to have eyes that pop. The new breed of eyelash enhancers that has come out, which started with a prescription only lash growth enhancer and thickener called Latisse, promises to make your eyelashes long, plump and full in a matter of weeks.

And many of them do work, it's just that you need to use your judgment and find which one is best for you. Start by looking at possible side effects first. Can your sight be effected, since eyelash enhancers that are applied right around the lash line have a good chance of getting in your eyes, at least somewhat? Are there any reports of eye irritation or redness that you should know about?

Warnings of side effects is probably your number one concern. Your second is, especially if you are paying a decent amount, how effective the product is. Are their clinical studies showing your lash enhancing product really works? These are the types of questions you want to ask when you're looking for a good lash-enhancing product, since there are a few really good ones to choose from.

And most of all, can they help you get those awesome long and rich lashes like starlets such as Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie and Catherine Zeta Jones have? Now that's what I'm talking about! Why do you think they have such alluring eyes? They have a lot of help from naturally (or were they helped along, hmm) luscious lashes.

How about reviews of the product? Is there positive feedback thus far on the lash growth and eyelash thickener formula of your choice? Can it help with regrowth of lashes that have fallen out or had some sort of trauma and never regrew?

Another important consideration is, does this product's indications for use fit into your lifestyle? For instance, if you are concerned about irritation, you may want a product that you only have to apply at night, not at night and in the morning. Or you may not give two squats about when you have to apply it, or how.

How about the applicator? Many of the higher end eyelash enhancers out there are applied a lot like eyeliner. You apply a thin line JUST below the eyelash line on the bottom of your eyelid, and JUST above your upper row of lashes (these are obviously the most important lashes to elongate and inject with fullness, since they are the lashes that really define the eye and give you that extra sex kitten appeal).

Most are made with a clear formula, so you don't need to worry about it interfering with the look or style of your makeup in any way. And most of them are pretty convenient, just allowing for dry time after application of the product before you put your makeup on, which may simply be the time it takes you to brush your teeth, for instance.
These eyelash thickening and growth formulas may approach the goal of lengthening and enhancing the lashes in a few ways. Some may use proteins to help build out the lashes, while some may actually seep in and trick the lashes into growing longer. Depending on the approach, you may or may not need to use them on an ongoing maintenance basis after the growth you desire has been initially achieved.

Even if you stop using a growth enhancing serum for lashes after the recommended use period to stimulate growth and thickness, you should still probably use a good conditioner on your lashes, to help keep them in shape. After all, they will shed and fall out if not properly cared for after you achieve the growth you want. Think of it as you would conditioning your hair.
